Ocean Carbon For Climate (OC4C)
SCL-UK is currently managing an international team led by Professor Jamie Shutler from the University of Exeter, who aim to improve our understanding of the physical and biogeochemical aspects inherent to the ocean carbon uptake, and how they are related to climate change, both on a global and regional basis. The initial focus of this project is on the air-sea interaction, with a major emphasis on the carbon fluxes and on the related sink/source distribution and dynamics. This will be achieved by investigating the constraints and dependencies on ocean carbon flux estimates and their related uncertainties. The OC4C project website is coming soon.
